What You Are

What You Are

Your smile is a galaxy just discovered
In your eyes I see my destiny fulfilled
Your heart
A golden nugget from Nirvana
Your soul
The Southern wind caressing my lungs
Your hair
The sacred mantle over a virgin's shoulders
You're delicate
As an artist's brush creating masterpieces
Your thoughts
Monarch Butterflies flying towards the Aztec land
Your cheeks
Cradles where my kisses rest
Your dreams
Pure and sacred as Mayan gold
Your fingers
Eagle feathers floating through the wind
Your eyelashes
Persian rugs from a distant land
Bring light to my darkness
Allow me to explore your galaxy
Fulfill my destiny
Permit a piece of your heart to adorn my chest
Let your spirit travel through my system forever
Wrap me in your mantle and keep me warm
Allow me a moment to create a poem for you
Wait for me inside that emerald forest with open arms
Let me rest till morning.
Hold me inside your dreams
Paint the way for me to travel and find you
Brush the curtains aside and meet the real me
Love yourself
And forever love me
