Thanks for your comments on my mental illness blog. It is such a shame that our prisons are repositories for those who are incapable of functioning rationally in a manner acceptable to society. Wouldn't it be cheaper to house them in placed that do not aggravate their problems rather than prisons? But on the other hand, the prisons are full of people who don't belong here so it's no surprise that those suffering from mental illness are here as well.
Perhaps things will change one day and our enlightened descendents will look back on this era in shame and horror.
But for now, the least I can do is bear witness to what I see and experience.
