The Vapors Of Honest Abe

The vapor of Honest Abe

At time we must laugh
for instead we may weep
and these short days of life
we make long by noble deeds.
We come fear a death
in which we are forgotten
that the world would never know our heart,
our unseen bloom,
our darkest bottom,
melancholy ones,
who lived to set men free
who were slain by those
that know not what they do...
Eat, I say now
so that you may live
and laugh insdie your night
for the thing you might have did
