Aye, I am Mike Issacs — current AZ state prisoner & now, part-time blogger. My spelling & punctuation can & will get sketchy... I don't care.

Mostly I just plan on throwing up my artwork & anything funny that I think of. I've been locked up since 98 so I'm not too hip on all the internet activity or what people talk about on a blog. I'll try to answer any questions/comments that I get.

As for my art, I just started drawing about six months ago so I'm far from great but I'm evolving quickly. I'm tattooing now as well & that's going pretty good also. Painting, as you will see, has me stumped. I seem to suck at that. Tips, anyone?

I'm really not sure why they're doing this blog. I guess people have a curiosity about prison or they just want to see what someone in the joint will say? For the curious, I will say, prison sucks. It's not the same experience for everyone. Some people can't deal with the violence or the other people here & that must be unpleasant for them. But that's not the reason prison actually sucks. Not for me. For me it's being isolated from my friends & family. Being forgotten & abandoned by virtually everyone I know. That's what prison is. So if that's why you're reading this, for any understanding of what prison is like, that's it. Learning that almost everyone you know will forget you. You are alone. But you also learn who your true friends are, if you have any. I do. I also have the best, most beautiful girl on the planet waiting for my return to the living.
