Hi, my name is Lakeith Amir-Sharif, but all my family, friends, and associates call me "Sharif".
Currently, I am incarcerated in the Texas Department od Criminal Justice (TDCT)[in bold] at the Ramsey II Prison Unit, which is located just minutes from Houston Texas. My hometown is Dallas County, Texas. In 2008, Dallas is where I was unjustly tried and wrongfully convicted. (SEE: http://americaswrongfullyconvicted.com/lakeith_amirsharif.htm)[in bold]
Not many people outside of our state are aware that Dallas has the dubious distinction of leading all other counties ("and most states")[in bold] in America, in the number of individuals wrongfully convicted and later exonerated through DNA evidence.
My personal experiences with our judicial system has taken me all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. During my incarceration, I have gained invaluable insight into America's prison - industrial - complex.
[from now on, in bold and underlined] The purpose of this blog is to work toward enhancing the public knowledge and dialogue essential to inspiring the collective actions for us to create a safer society; by promoting a just, humane and sensible judicial and prison system nationwide - starting with Texas.
