Keeping It Real With Mike!

Hi, my name is Michael McThune, but most of my close friends call me Mike. Right now, you're on my new blog Keeping it Real With mike, where on this site you can't be anything else but yourself. We're going to talk about everything! Yes, I did say everything. Not none of that fake or false perception that goes on in your or my environment on the daily. Here, you do nothing but be honest or as my comrade would say. "Put it on the glass."

How about we start with em? I am currently incarcerated for rape. STOP RIGHT THERE! Before you click over or go onto a different page, read on. I reached out to Between the Bars (BtB) because people hear about me or people with similar cases as mine, and forget that we're still human beings. Although I make no excuse for what I have done and I take full responsibility, I still believe and know that I'm a good man at heart. Sure, the pillars I admired and looked up to led me astray, but ultimately, I still had a choice to do right. But how will you know what right is if you have nothing to compare what wrong you are doing?

I have a story to tell and want the world—all of you to know it. All of it! Everything: from the young and impressionable 17 year old who ran the streets of Milwaukee like a crazed lunatic to the respectable and loving man I have now become. I want you to know my journey, and I'll be damned if I let the insecurities or fears of being inadequate allow me to head back down the path I once was on. So how about it?
