Dear readers,

Do you know someone, anyone, who does snail mail?

I know that in this age of social media and technology, snail mail is becoming a thing of the past, but for people in my situation, snail mail is the heart of communication.

I have been utilizing this blog site to reach out to the world, and I had received messages, responded, even formed a few friendships that have led to communication by snail mail, but after a while, they fade out of my life.

I have prayed for a long lasting friendship to come out of this expression of self because this blog site is my eyes, my hands, my ears, and most of all, my connection to the outside world.

I share my poetry because I've always believed my poetry was the way my soul searched for its mates. I say mates because you have a friend who is your soul mate and spouse who is your soul mate... I am calling for that special someone to be my friends, and in time, if it's to be, my spouse.

Prison is lonely when you don't have a stable, long-term, reliable foundation. It is lonely when you have no one to call, no one to share your thoughts with, no expectation of mail or outside communication.

I know that there is a stigma placed on men in prison, but not all men in prison want financial support or someone to use; I know that I'm not looking for financial support, someone to use, or anything of that nature. What I'm looking for is emotional, mental, and at times, spiritual support or understanding. I say "or" because at times, it's hard to offer all three at the same time.

For those of you who are reading this, I'm asking you to reach out to me, get to know me. I have nothing to hide, I am an open book waiting to be read. Read my previous past, write me, google me, just reach out. Tell others about this site, be a part of the solution to loneliness.
