What to know what happens behind bars? Ask ANY question. No topic too sensitive or personal. Will answer each and every one you have! Sex, violence, drugs, daily routine. Just ask.
My name is Daniel Materson. I have been incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections (and Rehabilitation) for over twenty straight years. I am a white, fifty-one year old with a sentence of life without the possibility of parole (LWOP) for the crime of murder in the first degree.
One of my missions is to educate the public to what really happens behind bars. I currently have two pending federal civil lawsuits regarding prison staff and administrators retaliating against inmates that report staff-on-inmate sexual abuse. If you have access to the Pacer System (caed.uscourts.gov), the case names are Daniel Materson vs. Rosanne Campbell, et al., 2:05-cv-0192-AK; and Daniel Materson vs. Silvia Huerta-Garcia, et al., 2:07-cv-01307-KJD-PAL. USDC Eastern District of CA. I would appreciate any and all comments, suggestions, and input.
What are your thoughts and opinions on how criminals should be treated behind bars? The old ball and chain while breaking rocks with sledgehammers, or microwaves and cellphones in every cell?
I'll answer your questions, respond to your comments via the blog, or you can write to me directly at the address above. All letters and blog comments shall answered and responded to. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance, and peace be your way in life.
