Personal Characteristics:

I am a voracious reader, mostly non-fiction but also some fantasy fiction and mysteries. I do not own a TV and haven't watched one for years. I prefer jazz over any other kind of music, do not like gangster rap, and am ambivalent about polka, hip-hop, and heavy metal. I'm a mediocre keyboard player.

I'm easygoing, disciplined, and ethical. I workout regularly and generally eat healthy foods rather than junk food, although I love chocolate.

Since coming to prison, I did extensive self-therapy and emotional healing. I had a spiritual transformation over the years and have devoted myself to following a spiritual path. I'm not really sure what that means, but I want to devote my time to meditation, prayer, and helping others.

Upon release, I want to learn to sail, spend time with my daughter and grandchildren, and make a positive difference in the lives of others. I recently realized that I do not have much of a sense of humor due to all these years in prison, so my current project is to develop one.
