I'm reaching out for that special someone who's willing to correspond with me. I'm on death row, at Louisiana State Prison, Angola. Since 1999.

Dear Friends,

Hello! I pray that my ad finds you well and in the best health ever, Amen. I'm a white male, DOB 6-28-62 and I've been incarcerated and locked up on death row in a one man cell for 23 hr. a day and have only one hr. out since 1999. I love reading my Bible, law books and magazines. I watch very little TV. I hated school when I was young and couldn't read when I came to death row. I prayed and asked my Heavenly Father to help me in Jesus' name to learn how to read and before I knew it I had two other inmates helping me to read and write as well. I worked on cars all my life. I loved the outdoors. I was born in a small Cajun town called Lutcher. I was one of eight kids from a poor family. I used to love hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. I firmly believe any genuine spiritual path leads to God. If you decide to write me, I will not talk about the Bible unless you wish to; it will be your call. Now I do understand that most people these days don't like to hand-write letters these days. You don't have to if you wish not to write by hand. Here at Angola, we have online yes! at: "www.JPay.com." It's a system that's used for inmates to receive money orders and letters. Now if you write me online you will have to put your address at the bottom of the letter because at the top I will only have your name and date. I will have to write back by hand which is all good by me; I love the art of writing even more since I learned to read and write letters. I don't have any contact or outside support with family or friends since my incarceration here on death row. It means a lot having someone outside reaching in to make one laugh, smile, and to take your mind off these old prison walls, standing here looking at these bars, waiting for the mailman, with that letter from that special someone that cares. I'm willing to write to anyone who's willing to write me.
