Hello!

My name is Darrell Smith. First off, I want to say thank you for visiting my site. I am a song writer. I try to write about some of everything. I grew up involved in the whole music thing. Although I never sign to a label, I've been writing for a long time now. I'm a young black man who is desperate to stop playing the blame game so that I will amount to something, and maybe, just maybe, I'll one day have the opportunity to hear my music on the radio.

I hear talk about the "sky" is the limit. I don't doubt that. However, I feel as though I'm the limit so I want to be known as "Dark Skys." I know I sound conceited and maybe I am. I believe in myself, otherwise I wouldn't even be trying to find a connection so that I can allow myself the chance to be heard. I write rap and R&B music. However, I am a big fan of country music and I aim to write a few country songs when the time is right.
