A decent Catholic book, it provides good arguments for the divinity of Christ, the resurrection, the reliability of Scripture, the authority of the church, the seven sacraments, and other theological matters.

Unfortunately, it does not provide any guidance on peace or social justice, which leaves me asking, "Sure, I'm Catholic, but why? Because I'll go to hell if I don't believe the right things? Or because following Jesus' teachings would make the world a better place? Did Jesus come to brag about how he was the Son of God, or to show us a better way?"

The author is far too kind to evangelicals, who need some tough medicine. I would recommend this book to skeptics and religious liberals, who seem to believe that all religions are equally true, except for the Catholic Church.
