I have seen Claude Monet's paintings and his house in person and I can really see how you channeled him.

Dear James,
I unfortunately do not live in Belgium. I am actually a college student in New Jersey! That’s really crazy you received a letter from another Alisandra, I always thought there wasn’t many of us with that name. I have traveled to France and I speak the language semi-fluently. I’d love to see Belgium though, maybe when I finish school I’ll get out and see more of the world.
You know so much about Monet! Your paintings also feel very full of light and radiate a kind of soft energy that I don’t think is common in art anymore. I know about the man made pond in France, I find it very interesting how connected to nature he was. His garden was very beautiful, it was so full of life with bees and butterflies everywhere.
A crayon painting sounds really difficult to do. You are an incredibly talented painter, you could even make money the way Monet did! Why did Monet inspire you over other painters? I have seen lots of art because I visited the Louvre before Monet’s house, but I think his art stuck with me more than seeing really famous pieces like the Mona Lisa. I don’t know many pieces by Van Rijn, but I would be interested in learning more about his work.
