PAULA MARIE CASTILLO

Hey, Paula,
where are you? Is the rumor true? You passed away after a battle with cancer? I don't know who to believe anymore. For a while there, I believed every word a particular person told me. Now I am second guessing EVERYTHING, even myself.

At one point in our lives, you and I were dubbed the modern day Bonnie & Clyde. I remember you thought that was funny. I thought it was funny b/c it made you laugh. I loved your laugh so much.

Do you remember the last letter you wrote to me? It was in 1997. It was short and sweet, "My love, please forgive me. I love you. I've sent you twenty dollars. Love, Paula."

Your apology was b/c you turned on me when the feds presented you with the possibility of a life sentence. I am not mad at you. I never held a grudge against you. I looked you up after the feds and found you in Vegas working in a beauty salon at... a college, I think. I was happy for you. I hoped that your kids were with you.

The last time I see Nylene, Joey and Karen was in San Bernardino. We hugged and cried, and I felt great sadness with our separation. I loved them. I hope they are doing great. I hope you are doing great.

Our Bonnie & Clyde days have finally caught up to me. Karma has me in its mouth, and I serve life for crimes that I did not do. I hope karma has not gotten you and the cancer rumor is true.

Take care, Bonnie.

Love,
Clyde

PS: I forgive you. No worries.
