I was born on July 8th 1955 in Columbus, Georgia to Eloise J. Holmes and Garten Earl Holmes.
The things I enjoy are things which keep me outdoors mostly. I love to work around the house and that especially outdoors.
I've tried many things in my life as far as work goes, but I think I mostly enjoyed those jobs which really kept me active and were physical. As for being outdoors, I fully enjoy going camping, fishing, and just observing nature in general. As a youth I did a lot of mountain climbing. No, not with ropes and such the way the modern "huge mountain" mountain climbers do, but I have scaled my fair share of quite serious mountains in Montana where I am from.
Even though I was born in Georgia, I spent the majority of my life since 5 years old living in Montana and Oregon which is why I claim Montana as my home.
Other things that I enjoy are writing, reading, especially 'Fantasy' and the Classics. I also enjoy studying about the truth of this great nation of ours and the reality of its founding. Religious beliefs, philosophies, theories, and theologies is also another favorite topic of study.
I thoroughly enjoy all wildlife, but especially cats. My most favoriteist (is there such a word? If not we'll make it one) thing to do though is to cook. Especially outdoors on the grill. I've had many a people look at me like I was crazy in Montana when they would see me cooking outside on the grill when the temperature was around 30° and there was 4 or 5 feet of snow on the ground. I simply shrugged my shoulders and told them that I had never seen a rule book that said you couldn't Bar-B-Que in the middle of winter while it was snowing.
I am a very firm believer that there is absolutely nothing that is impossible! I believe that when someone says that something is impossible, somebody has simply not gotten all of the false things and wrong things about it out of the way. As Einstein once said; "Once you remove everything that is not true, whatever you have left must be the truth!"
If you would like to know more about me, then simply BLOG me or you can write to me at the address listed above. For your protection though I highly recommend that your contact with any prisoner be through BLOG first. If, after a period of time, you should choose to write to a prisoner, then do so.
I tell you this not because I cannot be trusted, which only you can decide through BLOGGING, but because, amazingly as it may seem, not all prisoners are honest and truthful... imagine that! :-) Life is always good, so never let the surrounding circumstances dictate who you are as a person.
In Pease and Love...
