Redemption, Ltr. 7

Way back before I was born, the foundations of building a unstoppable hip-hop religion came from the underground railroad, because freedom was never a luxury for us blacks, it was a destiny that became epitomized of how we got thru the racist hate barriers to present our black culture to be the largest influence all over the world, where until we got mainstream, us blacks have always been expressing ourselves thru tribal music, if you remember "the last poets", as we have lived thru racist violence for nearly a thousand years, faced slave ships, auction blocks, lynchings, ghettos, inadequate education & medical care, indecent housing, chronic unemployment, and constant police brutality... Us rappaz have set out to destroy the ongoing hate towards our people, when physical survival is a daily task, in which the odds are against us, because the Amerikkkan nation in which we are a prisoner has defined us as their enemy, wanting us to remain dumb, ignorant of all our history & culture, so that we continue to suffer from our oppressors, so no motivation to protest against a capitalist government can come about, and back in the days "secret meetings" was created by the restrictions against us blacks to gather or worship without the presence of whites, in fear of us uniting togetha to overthrow they plantations, where a great majority of Christians condoned our slavery, saying it was permitted & ordained by God to inflict us blacks to every torture there is, so us blacks made an escape to the woods at night in order to sing, preach, report our conditions, and pray for our liberation from slavery, starting the most influential religions all across the planet, such as yoga in India, vodou in Haiti, exu in Brazil, orisha in Yoruba, Santeria in Cuba, Lovers Rock in London, etc... Where in the early 1900's us blacks & Latinos living in the ghettos of the Bronx, came togetha in the streets, plugging into telephone & lite poles to produce a original unique ethnic sound to lead the youth into a new revolution, hooking-up booming systems in our rides to spread the good word, by taking control of our destiny, to announce to the world, that we can't be stopped, because our Afrikan heritage is evident in every aspect of Amerikkkan life, as us rappaz emerge out the ghettos with different aspirations of how we see things, with varying vocabulary words whose main objective is to resist & deny the massive exploitative power, designed to keep us in the dumps... The growth of this hip-hop religion, has made us a center target by the police, the courts wanting to gag-order our ghetto representatives who find trouble in the daily struggle of us persecuted minorities, because any whack MC's, with no broader scope of economic & political changes will bring our historical movement to a stop, unless we can embrace us rappaz who are headstrong & psychologically able to experience things, and each other, outside the context of being crash dummies of violence & exploitation, used by the system, and they call me "S.D."...
