The kid in you

The Kid In You

The kid in you,
Is the kid in all of us,
That trust,
Things will get better,
Playing with sticky icky Peanut Butter,
Fluff-a-nutter
Oozes between the sandwich bread,
Spreads,
Through,
The kid in you,
Whose joy is to have fun all the time,
Forget about time,
Keeping in mind,
Those times that made you happy,
The kid in you,
Rolled in hay,
Played in sand,
No demands,
Everything was grand,
Everyone was a fan,
Thoughts of Christmas season,
Was good reason,
To think of it all through the seasons,
Longed to keep the kid in you at play,
Long after your hey days,
The days when the kid in you stayed,
Played,
In the pouring rain,
Watched the water drip down the drain,
Laughing and screaming time away,
The kid in you,
Happily ever after,
Will always be the kid in you,
Remembering,
Those things you did,
And the things you still want to do.

Keith...this has to be, HANDS DOWN, the best poem I have come across on here! This poem describes EXACTLY how my childhood was, even down to the peanut butter and fluff sandwiches! The carefree days of being a child and not having a care in the world! Thanks for taking me back to those days! NICELY DONE AND GREAT WORK! BRAVO!

When we are kids everything is pure and exciting. Depending on thseeds we sow, adulthood can be beautiful also. Patience is the key. A new reality check!
