Struggle

We have been degraded,
Criminal we have been painted.
Are parents actions then left us confuse and tainted.
No we act out to please others,
That's foolish isn't it?..

No care and concern; No love or hugs,
With out passion in your heart,
We begin to sale drugs.
Picking on those who's weak to prove your tuff,
But deep inside your acts a bluff.
That mask on your face portrays a mean mug,
Your hurting inside it will not stop until you have had a enough.

The struggle has took us threw a lot,
No lights, heat, food, clothes are old,
With no help from the cops.
Moneys low and dads in jail,
moms working over time trying pay for daddy's bail.
Older brothers on the block trying make fast cash,
trying help momma out and still have a stash.

So my struggle was trying survive in the community that had no--
Hoping I'll be the one to be on something
But the struggle was harder than I thought
False lies in the streets I bought
And ended up like most
With a note that wrote
The struggle was not broke...

Daddy's Apology

Daddy's gone
Far away from home
Not because he don't love you
But for choices he made before you
It's not easy being far from you
I love you so don't dismiss the issue
Your mother sick
Her finances has taken a hit
She's used to relying on me
To be the soul provider
How loins our supposed to be
I'm the protector
But instead I left you to define for me
Too many excuses doesn't explain my faults
Sorry I ain't there for you
And lessons of being a man I haven't taught
Be better than Daddy and grow strong
'Cause till the very end I"ll always love my sons
Whether right or wrong
Take it from me
And accept Daddy's apology...
