Re: BARRIERS TO REHABILITATION AT MCI SHIRLEY

Dear Governor Patrick:

Enclosed please find a copy of a letter that I have directed to the Secretary of Public Safety Mary Elizabeth Heffernan describing a serious barrier to rehabilitation here at MCI Shirley. My hopes are that your office can get involved in this matter, as it is one which directly affects the safety of the citizens of the commonwealth.

I know you have entered the commonwealth's prisons in the past. Please come here to MCI Shirley and speak with the men here who are being negatively impacted by the failed projects and ill-run operating practices. Let me assure you that I am an accurate reporter of the facts and could convey to you some serious failures which can be easily remedied.

Thank you for your time and anticipated intervention in this serious public safety issue.

Very respectfully yours,
