Hows it goin'?

I'm sending in a post about the shooting in Colorado and thought I'd drop a few lines to you and a few others as well. Have you heard about the shooting? I'm sure you have because it's been all over the news. I'm praying for all the families who have been impacted by that ordeal.

I wanted to ask you how you came about viewing the Between the Bars blog site? I don't know much about that works. It's a college that does all that for us inmates to help us reach to the outside world... every day I'm grateful to them for letting us have this platform to express ourselves.

I have a couple other questions for you as well:

What type of pieces do you write online?

What's your target audience?

Are you online a lot?

What made you want to post things online?

I found it very amusing how you mentioned being close to begging for comments (ha ha). I definitely know the feeling but recently I've been fortunate enough to get a few including yours... I was close to begging too (ha ha).

In prison it's just so negative and the conversations are always the worst ones to have due to the fact a lot of men in here are angry, violent, and blame everyone else but themselves for their situations. Writing you and the others I've reached out to via this blog has been the most enjoyable time I've had in a long time, so I thank you all for that.

I do want to read your pieces still, so please mail them to me when you can. I mention all the time how I prefer to hear from people by mail rather than online because it takes forever for me to get your comments. Either way I do want to comment on your pieces so I look forward to hearing from you.

Take care out there and continue to express yourself and make your voice be heard. I guarantee you someone is listening and will comment without you begging. :P
