Fake News
Yes, there's a lot of information out there. And on the Internet, it's really bad. There's stories that have been written about me that, with just a little bit of research, you could have found out the truth. This is nothing new. Fake news to rush judgment, get the story out first. They've been doing this type of stuff for years.
Back when I was arrested, they printed all types of stories in the newspapers that had nothing to do with me. I remember a story that was a completely different crime. I was driving a black transam and shot some black guys on a corner. Someone didn't do their research. I've read stories about my wife, Josie, and I that all the reporter had to do was contact the FDOC to confirm the information. Do they do that? No, they just print whatever she says. In fact, I've seen posts on the Internet saying that Josie and I never wrote after she got incarcerated. Not true. We corresponded up until mid 2002. The reason we stopped... well, it's not important.
In 2008, I believe, a friend wrote to me about a story regarding me in Australia. Says I'm engaged. This woman said she had visited me. A simple phone call to the FDOC would have shown that wasn't the case. She has never been here. It's amazing that people don't interview everyone and gather all the facts before they put it out there.
Yes, it seems to be that fake news is on the rise. Nobody cares to research and gather the facts. Bottom line: believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see, for no one is really interested in finding the truth.
