Hey there! It's good to hear from you, as always. Yes, I've had a rough time of it lately - especially with my living situation. At least I recently moved cells again so I'm away from that horrible cellie who kept wanting to fight. My new cellie isn't a real "winner," but he leaves me alone which is a real blessing.
I went to the Hole ' cause I was holding a knife for someone. It was a stupid thing to do and they did practically nothing for me afterward. So I don't have anything to do with those people anymore.
Yes, I'm still typing, but since we're still on a "modified" lockdown, I can only get to the Library about 8 hours per week, which isn't much. I've also been working in the Kitchen this year, but it doesn't pay much.
I'm sorry to hear you've had such hot & dry weather. I've seen on the news about the fires in parts of Europe, which is awful! I hope things improve.
I hope your eye surgery went well and that you don't have any future problems. It's a shame that you're restricted on swimming and such.
I'm sorry to hear that George's dad has been having a fairly difficult time, but I do hope he has a good birthday. Personally, I loved living in Chicago.
