*I believe that Keefe Commissary Corp (a part of Halliburton) is using illegal price increases on inmates. No inmate in any part of this country has won a lawsuit against Keefe on this issue. They typically charge 50% and 150% higher prices for goods to prisoners, who earn abysmally low wages—one or two dollars a day.
*I have HUGE problems with prison mail officers stealing, diverting, or destroying my mail. I would like a phone number I can call at Between the Bars to verify receipt of my postings. we are allowed to buy phone debit credits.
*I think these should be more public awareness of the tendencies of prosecutors to hide or destroy evidence rather than permit older serious convictions be overturned. This serves two functions for prosecution: 1. that public confidence in the justice system is maintained if serious cases are overturned. The public will question the legitimacy of the justice system. 2. it shield the prosecutors and the state from civil liability.
