Hi Bogdan
Thank you for your help with the post. And thank everyone there at Between the Bars for me.
Yes - this is a pretty rough existence, and be thankful for everything. Your freedom is something we often take for granted, once it's lost we realize how valuable it really was. Walk outside right now and breathe some fresh air and look into the sky. I haven't been out of this cage since August 17, and I'm not sure when I will get to go out again.
This is a sad day, we're 5 1/2 hours away from Manny's execution. I know he done some really messed up things. He was a police officer and was killing drug dealers. But we have guys all through the prison system serving life sentences for crimes far worse than what Manny did. Which shows the death penalty is not fairly applied. And this is no doubt tearing Manny's family up. It's a sad situation - and that's all I've been writing about in my journal for the past two days. I hope to open some eyes.
Thank you, Bogdan, for your kind words. Feel free to drop me a line any time. You have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
In peace + love :)
Ronnie

manny's family is OBVIOUSLY distressed. equally (or more so distressed)are the families of his victims.
i cannot speak up enough for the victims of the crimes for which death row inmates have been convicted.
i will repeat that I do have empathy and would be the FIRST to champion a convict who is exonerated by evidence. I honestly cannot consider a worse injustice than to be wrongfully convicted.
in your case - and the "other crimes" - I have yet to read or hear anything other than guilty.
i need to get off my focus on your case(s). originally, after reading your case & researching, you just came across to me as
a bad seed. i still feel that way.
to follow through with my earlier post, i WILL provide documents of alleged (never convicted) homicides.
not to mislead any readers here...one knows you can ONLY be executed once. In multiple homicide investigations...the state oft opts for the sure win and the death sentence where applicable. my hunch is that IS the case re: Clarke.
nevertheless, I'm done with this debate. I'll check from time to time to see when his date is set.
Happy holidays to all.
