Dear Readers,

I was scolded (and censored) yesterday by the good folks at BTB.

I am very grateful to them for allowing us the opportunity to have a voice, and will attempt to tone down my postings. HOWEVER, I am also going to give my opinion of their comments and restrictions.

This is supposed to be MY voice and MY opinion. If you don't like the "sound" of my "voice", then you should do what any mature and sensible person would do -- ignore it and focus elsewhere.

If I am expected to censor my comments, then you aren't hearing "my voice". You're hearing what someone else thinks my voice should sound like. That's fiction. This is supposed to be real life. Real life is not the Disney channel. Is anyone reading this with the expectation of learning the way someone else talks or thinks or are you reading this to learn what I say or think?

You're reading this to learn what life is like in prison. Who in their right mind thinks prison is G-rated? Y'all do realize that there are murderers, serial killers, rapists, thieves, gangs, drugs, etc., etc., in here or directly related to the people here, right?? Did it occur to you that some guys in prison stab each other, some do drugs, and some even have man on man all out S-E-X? A word like B-TCH is absolutely nothing compared to what you find in here. I call my best friend and myself B-tch (although it's used in a different context).

In addition, I only have one unit manager and one boss at Rec here. Duh. Common sense tells you the use of someone's actual name is irrelevant. Almost everyone reading this has no idea (or really cares) who "G" the unit manager is, and if you do know her, you don't need her name to figure out to whom I am referring. Furthermore, I am putting myself at great risk by even sending my personal comments and opinions via BOP email.

I apologize if I offend anyone, but I do have a tendency to need to vent. ESPECIALLY under these circumstances. If you don't like what I say, PLEASE read someone else's blog.
