Desperate Inmates

'Orange is the New Black' tries to class up the women-in-prison genre, but the exploitation formula remains the same, by Rob Sheffield. Rolling Stone August 1, 2013, p. 34, RS1188, rollingstone.com

Orange is the New Black, Netflix, starring lovely and talented Taylor Schilling.

This Netflix show is based on the true life drama of author Piper Kermon's book about her time in prison.

Ms. Kermon, also a philanthropist in her after prison life, is an effective prison advocate, who actually help prisoners transition to a productive life in the 'free world', and more lenient sentencing options. CBS Sunday Morning.com; July 21, 2013.

Ms. Kermon puts a new human face, lovely blonde middle class on prison dark face.
