Hi Dimitry,
I recently read your post online, where your talked about the nicknames you have been given throughout your life, especially in prison. I find it quite funny that you have so many nicknames, and I think very few people in the world have had the chance to collect that many nicknames. It reminded me of my youth when people called me “Storia” just because I loved reading history books.
I now write a story of an important Italian man and saint in Italian.
On October 4th, we celebrated Saint Francis of Assisi, who was born in 1182 into a wealthy merchant family but chose to divest himself of all material possessions after hearing a profound spiritual calling.
Embracing radical poverty as a path to perfect freedom, the saint chose to live in absolute humility, dedicating himself entirely to prayer, caring for the poor and the sick, and preaching the Gospel. Through this total dedication, he founded the Order of Friars Minor, spreading a message of peace and profound brotherhood that won the hearts of countless followers. Towards the end of his life, he received the mystical gift of the stigmata before passing away peacefully.
If you like these Italian stories, I have plenty of them to tell you, as I said my nick was “Storia” “History”, therefore I know a lot about my country history.
Best regards.
Alberto
