New York stop and frisk case

The federal court of appeals (1st Cir. 2013) blocked enforcement of the district court's ruling modifying New York City stop and frisk law. And taking the extraordinary step to removing the case judge, alleging misconduct, inter alia, partiality and encouraging plaintiffs to file suit; that she would hear the case instead of allowing random selection process.

Bad legal news. Another setback for African Americans' civil rights and personal security.

Finally, I would surmise the appeals court panel has some Republican Presidents appointed federalist judges sitting, who defeated my projection of an opposite decision.
