Yo, Paul.
Welcome to the study! Yeah, really. "Tell me what's a black life worth" is a lyric quote from slain rapper Tupac Shakur. So, Scrappy Dog was nodding his head to the rhythm of my delivery.
So, now, one Latino killing one black teenager or 7,000 blacks killing each other, Iraq or Afghanistan, prison yards, or wherever—it's all foul. Please don't check us and then imply what Zimmerman did was no biggie.
For clarity, I'm no fan of Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. We view them as reactors to injustice, not preventors of it. They never showed up in our hoods to lace our generation about the new ways that our self-destructive behavior can now be used to justify so-called legal murder under the umbrella of "punishment" or equal punishment. You see them with children—never with our generation where we roam.
I was, as you say, "race baiter" until I saw young Asians, Pacific Islanders, lil White boys, Jews, Latinos, and Native American boys being sent to death row for street level accusations. I no longer see Scrappy as my enemy. I will NOT cause his death.
So, when we say "A New Generation", we are including all of us. Because there is only one group of people described in Special Circumstance #22: criminal street gang members. 100% of that category is American inner city youth at first glance—until everybody else saw Treyvon Martin.
As far as racist of any kind goes, my deposition will remain "fuckein" because a majority of inner city self-destructive behavior is also based on racist ideologies on the streets, in prisons, and in juvenile detention centers. Our New Generation are moving away from those ideologies and whether or not God helps us is not our focus. Our focus is doing what we can to keep as many of our next generation off death row.
You sound interested in solution based ideas. Welcome—bring it! Thank you for engaging us. This is not a debate!
