Wisconsin Voting Law (2011)
Milwaukee, Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
Federal District Judge Lynn Adelman
struck down Wisconsin state voting
law section requiring showing photo
ID at the polls passed in 2011 as
unconstitutional.
The gist of the decision rational, as
reported, is it unfairly burdened minorities,
poor, elderly and students as plaintiffs
argued.
The democrat minority assembly leader
supported and praised the decision.
Contrarily, the Republican majority leader
Senator Vehmently opposed and denounced
it, on NBC15.com, 11:00p.m. news cast.
State attorney General J.B. Vanhollen
(Republican) vowed to appeal, as it is,
constitutional to the seventh circuit court
of appeals in Chicago.
Republican Gov. Scott Walker, issued a
statement that is_ he is considering his
options, and may call a special legislative
session.
Wisconsin Governors election is November
2014.
The court's decision is reported to hurt
his chances.
Judge Adelman left Wisconsin legislature
to assume the Federal bench (He was a Democrat
legislator.)
