WORDS

BY CONNIE SYLVESTER

Words - leaving home
must find a path to take-

some -

Like newly sharpened knives
Fly out to
cut and split apart
An already crushed and lonely heart.
others tiptoe and softly sing
To those who need a little word,
wrapping them IN love-
surrounding them IN care.
Words..once said-
cannot return
from whence they came.
