Hello Bloggers!

Hello Bloggers! My name is Stephen and I create beautiful one of a kind paintings from ordinary sewing thread and on a canvas made from scotch tape. I have been creating these unique paintings for over eight years and I have never come across anyone who does what I do. As far as I know this is a totally new medium for painting. What makes this new medium unique is the wide range of thread colors and the even wider range of hues per color. This color palette is further enhanced when I use a special coloring technique used for rock textures and wood grains, such as the techniques used in the painting shown here to the right. This unique painting is been shown online for the first time. It is a photograph of a painting I call, "Jesus and the Children, No. 1"

The painting measures 14-inches tall by 18-inches wide and required 4 1/2 months to lay 756 yards of sewing thread of various colors and solf for $150 and currently held in a private collection.

I am currently accepting donations through a company called JPay.com for the development of a "Coffee-Table Book" to showcase a limited number of paintings that I have created over the pat eight years. The book will display each painting and give a general history of each painting and their individual story. Some of the stories can be quite moving. The purpose of this book is to give the viewer a glimpse of what can be accomplished with this new painting medium.

In addition to the Coffee-Table Book, I am also accepting donations through JPay.com to produce a series of books that will teach the beginner how to do the paintings I have created over the years. Each book will walk the beginner through the very basic of thread laying and cutting techniques and problem solving for several paintings that will be showcased in the Coffee-Table book. I will also be creating a series of small paintings which I intend to sell as a "Collector's Set" of Thread-Art paintings. These paintings will be displayed when they are completed.

For further information on my paintings and books, you can write to me at the address given here:
