I woke up early this morning remembering my grandmom. It's been 9 years since she died. I was sending out some mother's day cards last night & without even realizing it I had written Gram's name & address on the envelope. Everyone loved Gram. Every family has that 1 person who holds them together, is the glue or nucleus, she always remembered every child's birthday. No child ever went without a present under Gram's watch. She made sure of that. She was the one we all relied on, looked to for answers, advice, she held us together. In 1 week it will be 9 long years without the most wonderful Grandmom one could ever ask for. I have a photo of my Justine & Gram together. Taken just a few months before Justine was killed. It is one of my most treasured possessions. 2 people I love so much, remembering their lives, their smiles, their laughter. Thank you Gram for being the best Grandmom ever. I wish my daughter could've known her. I wish Krista could have felt the love that Gram gave to everyone. Rest In Peace Gram, I remember you today, & everyday.

As for my daughter, she is still not speaking to me. What scars me is she isn't speaking to anyone. So I wrote to her formal social worker & asked her to look into it & make sure Krista is okay. I'm just worried about her. She would talk to her Grandmom every week and now hasn't spoken to anyone in over 6 months. She was very close to my brother Justin. No one has heard from Krista. Her foster mother got angry that Krista gave out the address to the house. I had family & friends send her birthday & christmas presents directly to her & the foster mom returned to sender most of it. All I can do is hope & pray.

As for my mom, she just finished another round of chemo. She's home but feeling the after effects of chemo. I just hope to God that it's working.

And today, the amazing men & women at Decarcertate PA (Check 'em out on facebook) are holding a rally at the capitol building. They will read letters, stories, & speeches from prisoners, their families, and concerned citizens for 24 hours, protesting life sentences, giving lifers a chance at parole, & to stop PA from building more prisons. We probably have the most in the country at close to 30 state prisons. I will be praying for everyone at Decarcerate PA.

On a final note, here it the photo I told you's about. Me & puppy. I called him puppy or the little guy,but then I learned his name while playing with him. His name is Sarge & eventually he will grow up to become an assistance dog for someone in need. He's a good & fun little guy who will go on to help someone in life. So full of energy (like my niece baby Lucy).

Well I guess that's all for now. Take care, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, I hope you enjoy your special day. God bless. Ciao.

Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post. Sorry to hear about your grandmom. Hold your head up, you sound like you have so much to still offer the world.
