My name is Michael Spencer I am 52 years old born and raised in the bay area very open minded and outgoing, with good sense of humor. I love to challenge people to think as well as be challenged, I have been incarcerated here at Pelican Bay State Prison SHU/Control Unit for the past 10 years. My days are spent reading, writing, studying materials that has to do with lives daily struggles from a historical point of view to a contemporary point of view, I started to see things more clearer but one was I like to have an exchange with individuals from all walks of life, that is how one truly grows freedom of expressions should be exactly that, do not be afraid to express yourself!! This is day sixteen of a hunger strike here at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City, CA this hunger strike is the second one within the past 90 days. As there is no other way to address the mistreatment that some of us have been subjected to for 10, 20, and in some cases 30 years) The isolation that we endure on a daily basis is the most barbaric draconian treatment that one human can impose on another. California is not the only place that prisoners are participating in this hunger strike it has spread to other states and in some cases other countries, so are willing to make ultimate sacrifice so that they can be treated with humanity. So please give me your feedback to my blog so that we can bring some light to this current situation that needs to be addressed "A.S.A.P." always in struggle and solidarity!
