Dear Jamie,

Finally, somebody asked!

In regards to my name Maez, I did do a little explaining back on my article "What's in A Name?" (around 9-2-14). However, I spoke of the individual who had the name Maze in the third person grammatical category. I had hoped that someone would read that and then notice my signature at the end. Hence, causing them to ask if I was referring to myself. Well, obviously it didn't work.

Now, in answering your question, Maze was a nickname I obtained due to the type of artwork I do. If you look around, you will see two pages filled with nothing but squiggly lines. These are actually maze puzzles. Or maybe on your end of town they might be known as labyrinths. I've been drawing these brain teasing lookalikes freehand since I was in 4th grade. But it wasn't until I came to prison that I experimented a little bit and mastered the trick of hiding words and pictures that are perceptible only after solving the maze.

I went ahead and sent you one with a little advice in it. While the other is a picture that I'm sure that the vast majority of my readers will be familiar with. It has been a while since I've been able to get any copies made, so I'm limited on what I have available to send. Don't worry, they aren't as difficult as they appear. I've learned that people get discouraged rather quickly. So I don't make them difficult as I could. Have fun.

I was relieved to see that my mistake between Sweden and Switzerland didn't offend you in any kind of way. I'm not sure about the "who's richer" part. However, I would be willing to bet you're right in thinking that Sweden is colder. For one thing, Sweden is about 500 miles north of you all and also has the Arctic Circle passing through it. Burr! That just sounds cold.

As far as German population in here goes, it's safe to say that they are few and far between. Also, you are correct in assuming it's pretty multicultural, but I thought that was mainly due to being in Florida.

I've got to admit, I haven't really been knowing what to think of this whole Trump situation here in the US. Granted, I don't know that much about politics to be much of a judge on the subject. However, I do think that just his attitude towards other people is going to be the cause of his assassination within the first year, if he is elected. Remember back in '92 and '96, there was that other filthy rich guy, Ross Perot, who ran for president? Now that guy had some interesting ide... Oh, hold on. You mentioned something about a student budget earlier. Shoot, were you even born yet? I know at that time, I was graduating from college with a degree in civil engineering and must have been 24 years old.

So what are your main interests in studies? I've always been a math whiz. However, after taking a couple of psychological courses, I found a liking for that subject as well. I was told a number of times that I should perhaps go that direction in life, but I was too well set in engineering to go making any changes. Now I just spend time reading anything I can find on the subject.

In answering your question in regards to, "If I think there are a lot of people that could change if the system let them and get out of prison as better people"—naturally, you are going to have your number of individuals who will decide it's time to make a change. But unfortunately, I think the number is a lot less than what your kind heart is anticipating. Believe me when I say that I wish all these guys could somehow learn to respect those around them, accept the fact that the world does not revolve around them, and maybe even show some self-control over their physical desires. But now that i have been living amongst them, I have had the opportunity to see that many of them are convinced that the way they are behaving is not wrong. So if it's not wrong in their own eyes, why would they make any kind of changes?

As far as myself being included, I would like to answer that by having you reread my profile and then visit a couple of posts I received around early December 2015 and early January 2016 (by truejustices4victims and apehanger) along with my answers. Then see what your psychological interest reveal.

Your questions caused me to sit back and try to imagine what your lifestyle must be like. Are you having to work a job going to school? What kind of music do you like? Considering the fact that four of your countries could fit in just one state of Florida that I live in, do you do much driving in your own car?

Well, I'll go ahead and cut you a break here. God knows I've already left you with enough work to do as it is.

Hope to hear back from you soon.
