I'll be 70 in December. For a while now, I've been thinking on those 70 years. A high-risk teen, never supposed to see 21, who got a lot of paid terror as a child, pain indevcitment as a teenager, pain + heartaches as a man. As a new father in the 70s, I was filled with fear and doubts, struggling to find my way with a little traction—that traction coming slowly in my old age.
My life was filled to the top with risk and excitement, gain and loss, pairing and parting. Now I understand what friendship and love is. ❤
New Hampshire's license plates bear the slogan "Live Free or Die." They're made by prisoners. :)
Idiots are not allowed to vote in New Mexico. I wonder if "idiots" can run for national office. Of course they can. Just look at the ones that are in Washington now and look at the two running for top boss. :)
People are the only animal on earth that are in denial that they are animals.
I had to go to medical twice this past month for heart exhaustion. Radiology today for a chest x-ray. Getting harder to breathe in this heat.
Painting helps me remember the ideals I'm having... I pick up my paintbrush and feel like I'm in another world, a world of imagination, creativity, and joyful curiosity. What will I do today? Where will I go?
The person that stands up for you, stands by your side in times of need, remembers you with a kind word when you're down, this is the person you'll remember with your love for the rest of your life.
Feeling connected to family and friends keeps people engaged and facilitates healthy aging. Being isolated marks in the other direction and can lead to chronic illnesses. Restorative Justice. ❤
