Waiting for dinner

Dear LGM,
Hi, I received your comments last night, and I just wanted to thank you and respond. The prison is on lockdown (no idea why), so we will be fed one peanut butter and jelly, and one apple for dinner. On a different day, I would be furious, but I ate such a big lunch I'm not hungry.

I enjoyed your story Christmas presents. There's a lesson in there as well. You already knew what you were getting so that ruined the surprise.

Tin Roof ice cream—does that have like peanuts or some type of nut in it? If so, I have had it and loved it. The name is so unique. I could live on ice cream, but I want to say the same for the icing on cake. I love icing. When I was little, Mom bought icing for birthday cakes she would make. I have been known to eat the whole little container with a spoon in the middle of the night. I had to be 7-8 years old.

Well, as for the puppies, every prison in PA has a different organization that they use for the puppies, but it is all the same concept. Like in this prison, we use Vet Dogs of America. I believe it's based out of NY. I went over just this morning and played with the pup, Sarge, for ten minutes or so. I did enjoy it.

I just realized that I messed up. I had a page flipped and I thought J.C. told me she has a husky. I commented to her on husky dogs. But then I just realized it was you. I had the paper flipped to the wrong side. But like I told JC, huskies are beautiful dogs. Very energetic, friendly, and lovable dogs.

My mom has AML, acute myeloid leukemia, and though it can't be cured, I beg her not to stop fighting. I am terrified of the day I will lose her. What do you do without a mom? I just don't know.

I wish I could participate in the dog program here. I wouldn't even have to be paid. I do need an income to survive, but for a dog, I would do it for free. But that's not in my future. I would have to give up my single cell, and the only way I am doing that is if I get the chance to go home or if my cell mate was a woman. But what I can do is play with the puppies, and I am happy doing it.

Well, our dinner is here. Let me go. You have to be standing at your cell door or they won't feed you. My neighbor has no food, so I'll get it for him.

Take care, feel free to drop some comments any time. God bless, ciao.
