My love, some days go by a lot slower than others. It all depends on how easy it is for us (youth) to hold one another's attention. It's mostly easy for you to grab my attention. Just glance my way and that I-love-you-smiles melts all my defenses. I hope that the I-love-you-more smiles that automatically appears on my face when I see you or think about those smiles I always have for you, my love, will keep me in your heart, as well as your dreams, and always carry you in my heart and in my dreams of you by my side, 24/7. ❤
This morning I'm thinking of us going out driving on warm summer nights liked we used to do. Out into the countryside, up along winding mountain roads. I can still remember the smile of the fields in the evening breeze, the smell of the pine trees filling the air, the kids all pointing at things and forever asking questions. Then we would stop somewhere and watch the sunset before heading home. The kids all falling asleep until there was just the two of us. I could see the happiness in your smile. I miss you. I miss you from the bottom of my soul.
Sometimes now, when no one is around, I find myself crying. How I've wasted everything and hurt so many I love. Forgive me, my love. Hopefully, in the ever after, we will never be apart.
