Compassion For The Lambrix Family

Where is the compassion for Mike Lambriz's mother and father, and his sisters? Yes, I understand that the victim's family and their desire for vengeance. Closure. There's no closure when you lose someone you love. I know, I've been there. What the state of Florida is doing to the Lambrix family is victimizing them for their son's wrongdoing.

For the next thirty days, the mother, father, and sisters will go to sleep every night, wake up every morning, thinking of how Mike is doing to be killed. All day, every day, they are living with this stress. If this is not cruel and unusual punishment, on a clearcut is doing, is creating a new wound to innocent citizens who are just unfortunate enough to have a family do something like this.

I don't know of a case out there where a serial killer contacts the family and says, "I'm going to murder your loved one in 30, 45 days. Please count down the days with me." That is as cruel and brutal as you can be. And yet, this is exactly what our civilized society is doing to the Lambrix family.

Mike will be dead in 30 days. This family is going to relive this for months and years! All we are doing is creating more victims. And this is traumatic. It's not like getting a phone call or visit saying, "Your loved one has been killed." I'm not trying to say that doesn't hurt. I know that pain. I broke a hand and hurt my foot punching and kicking the wall. But that is way different than knowing your loved one is going to be murdered under the mantel of justice. And it's not like cancer. I've dealt with one of those deaths as well.

This is homicide that's on the death certificate. This is cruel and unusual punishment at its best. Let's stop the madness. God bless you.

In peace and love,
