Overcoming Negative Work Attitudes

Thank you, Father, in Jesus' name, for watching over your Word to perform it. ____ is obedient to his/her employer(s), boss(es), or superior(s), having respect for them and eager to please them in singleness of motive and with all his/her heart, as service to Christ, not in the way of eye service; as if they were watching him/her but as a servant (employee) of Christ, doing the will of God heartily and with his/her whole soul.

____ readily renders service with goodwill, as to the Lord and not to men. He/She knows that for whatever good he/she does, he/she will receive his/her reward from the Lord. ____ will do all things without grumbling, faultfinding, and complaining against God and questioning and doubting within themselves. He/She is blameless and harmless, a child of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom he/she shines as a light in the world.

He/She reveres the Lord and his/her work is a sincere expression of his/her devotion to him. Whatever may be his/her task, he/she works at it heartily from the soul, as something done for God. The one whom ____ is actually serving is the Lord. Amen.
