"AN ACT OF KINDNESS"
By Ronald W. Clark Jr.
While I was at RMC for physical therapy the other day, I witnessed a female officer refusing to feed one of the inmates under her care. Soon as she left, a male officer stepped through the door, and handed him a bag of lunch. The officer said "Eat it fast and don't say anything." Soon as he shut the door we started talking about him. How he's a decent human being that's compassionate. And not everyone who works for the FDOC is dirty. I wish we could praise this officer for what he did, and tell everyone who he is. Unfortunately he will be criticized by his fellow colleagues. So we can't talk about his good deeds and mercy and compassion that he had towards he fellow man.
In here you do see acts of kindness by both staff and inmates. You'll see guys give other men food who doesn't have anything. Send them some stamps, envelopes, paper ect ect. Officer's will hand out an extra tray to someone they see who doesn't have anything. You do find acts of compassion and mercy in here. And really we need more of that. A lot of these men don't have anything of anyone. An act of mercy can go a really long way. I know sometimes its hard to forgive and forget. But this officer was a prime example of the way we all should be. God bless. Sincerely Ronald W. Clark Jr #812974
