I didn't know
what love was
when I fell in love
with her
all those memories ago
I do know
what love is todaay
when I'm holding her
in my arms
in the nights darkness
it's the same today
as it was yesterday
the best thing about it
I know her love
will fill my heart forever

I don't remember when
I began to fall so low
where I have no friends
no place to go
walking around alone
singing about broken hearts
I wear the color blue
it makes up all my clothes
my pants, my shirt, my hat
my blue suede shoes
blue like the rest of me
even my face is blue
maybe from the lax
of oxygen
to the brain

Steve, hello from Singapore. Thank you for your poetry, I especially appreciated the one you wrote on April 13 about this person you love. Take care, especially during this time. God bless you, Daphne.
