in my dreams
I kiss you
roll onto my side
to watch you breathe
watch your chest
slowly moving up & down
with the sounds
of our hearts
beating together as one
awake I lie here alone
tears covering my face
my world is empty
the nights are filled
with nothing but darkness
lost without moon or stars
alone in yesterdays memories
