Africans Here in America
No other race/ethnicities here in America put a second century on their race of people like us African-Americans. We have to be proud of our motherland and people like other races and countries say/do about theirs! We are Africans here in America—since you want to hold onto the American title; this country and title belongs to the Native Americans. Nobody else!
1. German people say Germany
2. Mexican people say Mexico
3. Italian people say Italy
4. Canadian people say Canada
5. Puerto Rican people say Puerto Rico
6. Scottish people say Scotland
7. Irish people say Ireland
8. Arabic people say Arabia
9. English people say Great Britain
10. Finnish people say Finland
11. Cubian people say Cuba
12. Jamaican people say Jamaica
Just to name a few. You can name and put any name, race, ethnicity on the list and you will see all acknowledge their home/motherland. And none put/add/tack on "American" to their race or ethnicities. Just as most majority of people never been to none of those countries, they still say and acknowledge where their race or ethnicities come from.
We as Africans here in American have to start acknowledging who we are and command the respect of our race/ethnicity! We are not a color (black), we are a race! Africans!

I'm from Chicago (born and raised), but there is no race/ethnicity of people from Chicago. They all immigrated from a different country when you research their history here in America.
