Hello my name is Jennifer Johnson, I have an issue with two hospitals. I cannot keep my mouth closed. Cause I feel they took advantage of the patient and family. The hospital in Trenton, NJ where my dad failed two years ago at his house. The ambulance came of course. My dad was 68 years old. Yes, he had health issues but he didn’t die from personal health issues, the hospital killed my father, leaving my sister to find a lawyer for a malpractice case. She has been having sleepless nights, headaches etc. for our family there has been a lot of tear sharing as we lost our father.
The ER puncture our dad’s lungs during the procedure of placing a chest tube. That is why he had so much fluid being drained in the NICU. They diagnosed him Rinophargeal which is an infection in his throat, more collection of fluid, in his case a large, solid fluid behind his larynx (voice box) that they attempted to remove but started placing a chest tube, punctured his lungs, he started experiencing respiratory distress and they intubated him, when he punctured his lungs
collapsed lungs, then intubated the patient, the hospital became dependent on the respiratory. He went into a coma and they were rushing us to pull the plug because they wanted complete comfort in him because they had caused him harm. This hospital took our father V.A insurance money and personal insurance money leaving the family with pain and suffering as they had to come out of the pocket for the funeral. They reimbursed my sister. In what they cause them to pay out of their pocket. Every dime the hospital took from our family should be given back plus interest cause they caused our father’s death. Now my daughter has been in ICU numerous of times handing on for her dear life. Now left with many problems she went to Northside Hospital because she had been hurting in her stomach. She finally went to Northside Hospital in Powder Springs, GA. She was throwing up. Immediately they admit her and she had immediate surgery to get a gall stone that was stuck. They got the gall stone, then scuffle to get her gall bladder out. Her heart rate was high. Finally on CAT scan they discovered when they put the tube in her they punctured her intestine. Her body has went through so much she stayed in the hospital for three months mostly in ICU. After three weeks she is back in hospital because she had fluid behind her stomach pocket. They didn’t give her the antibiotic when she went home like they were supposed to. Now they want to give her antibiotics. As her parents we are really upset because how can any hospital do that to their patients. She said mom I have a large hospital bill and she lost wages. She lost her insurance on her vehicle. She said mom we are scared if I say anything they won’t take care of me. I want to get well first. This morning she discovered something was wrong with her. She said her arm is swollen. Somebody needs to see what’s going on at these hospitals and see if these people are certified to even be working at hospital. My daughter should have no hospital bill and she should be paid for her pain and suffering without a malpractice case in the court. My daughter almost died and still she is not 100%. We are fortunate to have her. Our father wasn’t fortunate. Jersey (Trenton Hospital do right my family). Northside Hospital do right by my daughter.
