The winter of our discontent ~ Dec 20, 2011

Hello, seasons' greetings :) It's good to be alive. About a week ago I was very pleased 2 hear one of the protesters occupying a park in Sacramento say that soon they would "occupy" homes that have been foreclosed. It made me ecstatic because I suggested it about a month ago myself. I think it's a good way 2 channel the energy & not lose the momentum that is established. I'm so proud of America 4 finally standing up 2 the oligarchy. Resist, resist, there's a world 2 save!
The Mayan calendar "ending" on 12/21/2012 is just 1 yr away now. All the speculation as 2 what it all might mean is quite exciting. What if the end of the present way of doing being has 2 do with people everywhere becoming inspired by the Occupy Movement, and dedicating whatever resources they can of times, energy, money, etc. 2 affecting a change? That would be the ultimate utopian dream. Whatever comes next, I sincerely believe that all of this positive energy will contribute 2 the betterment of everyday life 4 the "99".
Dec. 21, 2011 - Today they announced that there will be a 303 million dollar pay-out 2 homeowners who were discriminated against. It's a start! The ending of the occupation of Iraq is a wonderful thing. But I heard about Jaque Chirac (Maybe misspelled), the ex-leader of France, is now being brought up on charges of corruption. Now, remember when he would not go along with the invasion of Iraq, back in '03? In America, there was an anti-France backlash. "French fries" became "American fries" and he was vilified. But he was right!!! NO weapons of mass destruction and we know now that the so-called proof was known 2 be false B4 George W. Bush spoke in support of it. Think of the whole thing with C.I.A. Agent Valerie Plume being outed & her life endangered when her husband just happened 2 be the 1 bringing it all 2 light.
Another hero who spoke truth 2 power was Mr. Michael Moore. At the Oscars (I believe, but maybe it was the Grammys) He spoke out against the unfounded war. He 2 was vilified, he received lots of serious death threats and had 2 have serious security. And what about the Dixie Chicks? Their whole career was interrupted because of their failure 2 get in line & wave the flag. Well, they, the Dixies & Mr. Moore were right. I love the fact that the majority of folk now understand that the wars were diversionary tactics while the banks were being robbed - metaphorically - and we know now that the paltry level of anti-war demonstration was a mistake, a missed opportunity 2 fight evil, but, guess what? We won't be fooled again. George W. Bush should be in prison for warmongering. HAPPY HOLIDAYS
