It seems like a reoccurring theme in the news to hear about men and women struggling in our current economy. Often times they mention things going well in the "Private Sector", but for the most part it appears many citizens who want to work just can't find jobs right now.
Being incarcerated makes it really hard to truly feel the impact of a bad economy, seeing how not a day goes by that we don't get 3 meals, a shower, clothes, and have none of the responsibilities that you all have in the free world. However, just because I don't endure the struggles you do in a bad economy doesn't mean I don't want to experience them with you in some way.
I'm writing this part to ask the reader: What has the economy been like for you?
Negative or positive, I'm sure each of you has a story to tell and I'm pretty sure some of you need to vent your frustrations or hardships...Write me and allow me to be the outlet for you to do so. It's the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and caretakers who have endured through the struggles of life that I've discovered a new-found respect for. It is those of you who had every excuse to give up but didn't that encourage me to be a better man and it's your stories I'd love to read about.
"Please" share with me how the economy has impacted you and I thank you for allowing me to experience it through your eyes.
