Dear Kayyg,
Good to know you and your beautiful mom watched my msubc/lockup interview. What made me decide to cut my hair? Well, I first started growing my Jesus locks (hair) in 2002,when I was placed on the secure control unit. my Jesus locks represented my struggle of being locked down in a windowless cell 23 hours a day. Then after enduring ten (10) years of adversity and isolation, I was released from the control units, and the cutting of my hair represented my new change, It was nothing to do with me conforming because for me to do that it would mean that I would be like everyone else, and that I am not. I am now growing a new head of Jesus locks to represent my struggle for physical freedom from this Belly of the Beat. I'll probably cut them too when that freedom change comes. I'm strong but human!

Peace,
Christopher Trotter

Hi I hope you don't mind I transcripted your post. I think it's important for people to read. You are a great writer and your struggle inside, symbolised by you growing your hair really moved me. Again I hope you don't mind me having read it and thank you for sharing it with us.

Hello, Christopher. I also watched the MSNBC program you were featured in. I must say, it surprised to learn that anyone thinks you are a dangerous person. You struck me as friendly and polite and thoughtful. The prison system is so odd in the way that it decides who is "too dangerous" to be in general population. Hang in there, Brother. I am impressed by your spirit and intellect, despite the beast's attempts to put out both.

I was especially interested in what you said about Frankenstein, that the prison system is Frankenstein and it creates monsters. A lot of scholars have sympathized with Frankenstein's monster throughout literary history, and I think you're on to something. Keep writing. You have a gift, and we who have access to your insights are priveleged.

Solidarity,
jes.

Hello handsome Chris,

I am looking at your MSNBC program. You seem like a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. I hope that you receive this message and respond back to me. I hope that we can become friends. I hope that you have found some inner peace and that you are doing good. I hope to hear a response soon and a way to contact. I'm upset you cut your locks off to (smile), however, your still handsome. Until your response I hope and pray you are well.

Yours Truly,

Kandyce
