"Of all the tyrannies that affect mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst... every other species of tyranny is limited to the world we live in; but this attempts to stride beyond the grave, and seeks to pursue us into eternity."
Thomas Paine

Today, we all hear the gospels Matt, MK, LK, JN which are for the most part about Christ... what he did, where he went & what he said. We hear why he came & why he had to go as well as the promise that he would return to us again. It is on this point, in its entirety that our faith rests on. Yet when we hear the word "gospel" we think of the 4 presented to us in the Holy Writ. But what of the 5th? What about the gospel (Good News) that Christ himself taught? Why do we hear so little of that? While men like Creflo Dollar preach about prosperity and Joseph Prince teach about being destined to reign and many many other feel good ministries are blasted to us through the radio & T.V.s nationwide, we never hear about the kingdom of heaven... brother & sisters... we must guard our hearts against organized religion & doctrinal captivity! Through it (religious fervor) mankind has done atrocious things! Serve your God in liberty! Live by the law of love! Make it your personal mission to bring the best out in others... only then is God's glory put on display for all the inhabitants of the world to see.

But I have jumped ahead of myself... if we are to consider the state of religion today we must re-examine the state of man. And for that we must go back to our age of innocence,... the garden. For what laws or moral standards did mankind have but only to not choose for ourselves what is good or evil????
