Just Me

"Just Me"

If I was a gem in a garden full of diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and turquoise, would you pick me from the earth, and take joy in my beauty,

- even if I was just an igneous rock?

If I was a song, would you listen to me word for word, line for line, and discover the true meaning of the precious jewels I held inside.

- even if I didn't rhyme?

If I was the sky, would you still look up at me in admiration, and take pleasure in my vast beauty,

- even if numerous clouds covered me?

If I was a star in the sky, among hundreds of other bright stars, would you look up at me and take joy in my twinkle and beauty,

- even if my twinkle wasn't the brightest?

And, if I was a person who was intelligent, humble, sincere, considerate, trustworthy, open-minded, humorous, innocent of crimes accused of, with the likes of good music, good movies, sports, reading, writing, working out, playing Scrabble, and just enjoying life. And the dislikes of liars, arrogance, rudeness, and people who judge others - would you form a friendship with this person, share unforgettable moments with this person, learn from this person what you do not know, teach this person what you do know, and elevate with this person mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, connecting both of your minds and both of your hearts as one,

- even if this person was... Just me?

I believe we are elevating beyond our circumstances and growing as a pair of "Just Me" kind of people. Only other "Just Me" people will understand. I identify with what it feels like to be cast away, but everything about you deserves a chance. That's why we given one to each other. Our love surrounds each other at all times like a blanket of security, a cacoon of joy and a beacon of hope!
